FazeAI (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the FazeAI mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our app.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information: email address, name, and profile details you provide during registration.
- Chat data: messages you send to our AI coaches to provide personalized guidance.
- Voice data (microphone): when you use the voice input feature, audio is processed in real-time for speech-to-text conversion. We do not store raw audio recordings. Only the transcribed text is saved as part of your conversation.
- Health & wellness data: sleep logs, nutrition entries, journal entries, habits, and goals you voluntarily input.
- Location data: only when you explicitly use the map/travel features (Nomad mode).
- Device information: device type, operating system, and app version for debugging purposes.
2. Microphone & Audio Permission
FazeAI requests microphone access (RECORD_AUDIO) solely for the voice-to-text input feature, allowing you to speak to your AI coach instead of typing.
Audio is processed locally on your device or via Google’s Speech-to-Text service. We never store, sell, or share raw audio recordings.
You can use FazeAI without enabling the microphone — it is entirely optional.
3. Location Permission
Location access is requested only for the Nomad travel feature to show nearby points of interest on a map. Location data is not tracked in the background and is never shared with third parties.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and personalize your AI coaching experience.
- To track your habits, goals, sleep, nutrition, and wellness progress.
- To send you notifications and reminders you have opted into.
- To process subscription payments via Google Play Billing.
- To improve the app and fix bugs.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmission and follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Speech-to-Text: for processing voice input (no audio is stored by us).
- Google Play Billing: for subscription payment processing.
- Google Maps: for the Nomad travel feature.
- OpenAI / Anthropic / Mistral APIs: to power the AI coaching conversations. Messages are sent to these providers for processing but are not used to train their models.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the service providers listed above, strictly for app functionality.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app settings. Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
9. Children’s Privacy
FazeAI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
